- Online Writing Jobs: Online Writing Jobs is essentially a message forum where clients can post job ads. The forum has a section for both low and high paying gigs. Lower paying keyword or SEO article writing jobs seem to be in abundance here.
- Work At Home Jobs: A section of WAHM.com, Work At Home Jobs includes a variety of paid work-at-home positions--many of which are writing or editing gigs. The site is updated a few times a week. Most of the writing jobs come from Craig's List. Nonetheless, WAHM.com always seems to uncover a few that aren't posted anywhere else.
- Media Bistro: This site tends to be for professional journalists and freelance writers. Newbies might find a job here, but experienced writers will have the advantage. Jobs posted are generally for big-name magazines, publications and websites.
- Sunoasis Jobs: The Sunoasis job listings are updated fairly regularly and are mostly an aggregate of Craig's List postings. The website includes links to other resources that might be useful to freelance writers.
- Writer's Resource Center: This website--commonly known as Poewar--posts current writing job ads from numerous job boards, including Monster and Indeed. Most of the jobs require on-site work and are full-time positions rather than freelance gigs.
- Journalism Jobs: Most of these jobs are for the professional journalist with news writing experience. There are usually a few freelance and telecommuting jobs available.
- Writers Weekly E-Zine: This weekly e-zine can be delivered to your email inbox or read online. It includes both paying freelance writing markets and current job listings for writers. The e-zine also features a few informative articles and the valuable "Whispers and Warnings" section.
- Freelance Writing Jobs: Deborah Ng's Freelance Writing Jobs blog is updated most days of the week. She (and/or her assistant) scour writing job boards and aggregate what they consider to be the best of the bunch. Deb only posts jobs that pay what she considers a reasonable rate, and the majority of her job listings come from Craig's List.
- About Freelance Writing: This website for freelance writers updates their job listings a few times each week. The listings come from a variety of sources--although the vast majority are from Craig's List.
- ProBlogger: Blogging has become a legitimate way for freelance writers to make money. To ProBlogger posts job ads from companies that will pay you to write blog posts. Pay and stipends vary, so always read the fine print.
- The Write Jobs: Mostly on-site and full-time work, but there's an occasional freelance or telecommute job featured on this website. You'll find a few new jobs here each week.
- Telecommuting Jobs: This is one of the few websites that charge a fee for listings. You can preview the job listings for free, but any contact information or details require full membership at a cost of $15 a year. The benefit is that you can apply for jobs that can't be found on Craig's List or other job boards.
- Telecommute Writing Jobs: This blog is updated every day--even on the weekends. The leads come from a few different job boards, but mostly Craig's List.
- Elance: One of the best known job bidding websites, Elance forces the writer to bid for a rate on jobs. The company then decides which bidder they want to hire. Some writers have found good gigs and clients from these job bidding sites, but others feel they perpetuate low-paying, poor quality work.
